They say that kitchen is the heart of each apartment. Maybe because it is a place, where you prepare your meals and also boost your creativity while cooking special dishes for your beloved ones. On the other hand, it’s also the place where we tend to eat our meals and even have a long conversation with our friends over an aromatic cup of coffee.
As some of you know, 3 years ago I bought my apartment in Budapest and as much as I love it, I would still change few things, especially in my kitchen. If only it could be a bit bigger and has roof window like the one from VELUX, which I found here. It could give you so much more light! Since I can not really change the size and the window (due to the apartment structure), I would at least change tiles and maybe I would buy some new kitchen accessories.
I am totally obsessed with Spanish tiles! I would love to have them in my kitchen. I think the colorful design of this type of tiles can be perfectly mixed with white dresser (which I already have in my kitchen).
If you are looking for similar tiles visit: Marrakesh store (http://marrakeshcementtile.com/) located at Raktárvárosi út (near Budapest).
How about kitchen accessories ? Since we spend quite a lot of time there, we should think about some nice decorations. Even if your kitchen is not super fancy, it’s enough when you get a few pretty items, which can live up your interiors. If you would like to buy some cute kitchen supplies like teapot, cups or flower pots, you should check out Kezemura located at Magyar u. 18 at Csendes Store or Kossuth Lajos u. 12 at MONO art&design store.
Worth to mention that those stores offer also other interesting home accessories.
There is also very good and cheap store with home decor – PEPCO, which has been recently opened in Budapest city center – Károly krt 20. You will find there many good items and prices are super friendly.
