Heads up! Kim Kardashian has just announced that she is done with face contouring – excluding nose job!. This is a quite awkward news, to be honest. Does it mean that now she is going through few plastic surgeries to keep up with her appearance?. How about her fans who blindly follow her daily make up routine?. Are they going to save money for plastic surgeries too, or they finally understand that “less is more”?.
There could be several reasons for why young girls are using too much make up nowadays. Either they have serious problems with their skin like acne, little starches, pimples, or they just simply feel insecure with their own appearance. Whatever reason there might be, the golden rule says, we have to start treating the system from inside in order to see effects outside. I mentioned several times that I am really against face countering, as I strongly believe that natural make up, if apply properly, can bring way better results, than multiple layers of make up.
In 2014, I interviewed Agnes Pataky (http://www.thespoiledqueen.com/?p=2743) – one of the best makeup artists in Budapest, working for numerous fashion and lifestyle magazines (Joy, Marie Claire), advertisements or shoots. During her career of almost 10 years, she was a team makeup artist for Bobbi Brown and a lead makeup artist for Givenchy in Harrods (both in London). We met again in her make up studio to prepare for you tutorial of super natural and fresh make up, proving our life motto that “less is more”.
With few simple tricks she made my face look super fresh and glowing!
If you have smaller budget for make up cosmetics, you can use cheaper brands. As a foundation you can try Annemarie Börlind, which includes natural ingredients. When it comes to blushes, you can go for L’Oreal one, Sandalwood color. Maybelline has quite good creamy eye shadows too, for example Color Tattoo.
During our make up tutorial, Agi mentioned about a few very important rituals which help our skin to look fresh and healthy. Try to use gentle facial exfoliators. Once or twice per week, prepare a face mask from natural and simple ingredients or try Adrienne Fellner’s face masks. Use the face oils and sunscreen, once you are out. Don’t forget to drink few liters of water per day. If your face looks super tired, use concealer in a triangular shape underneath the eye area. Don’t use too light color. Apply a bit of pink blush to your cheeks to get some fresh look, add mascara and lip balm and you are ready to rock the city!.
