How many of you face constant problem with finding some special and unique gift for your beloved ones? What’s your feeling when you enter a big mall and try to find something other than a mass product, manufactured in China? Or where do you buy your Christmas decorations from? How about weddings? Do you have any favorite flower shops, which can prepare a magnificent bouquet for you?
In the past I had very big problem with finding some beautiful, handmade gifts, therefore, many times I ended up buying a voucher for one of the big clothes/furniture stores, hoping it will be the most reasonable and practical gift. Things changed when I met Erika – an owner of Think Boutique, a little online shop, based in Budapest, which specializes in designing unique decorations.

One of our friends wanted to give a new life to her old laptop and let’s say upgrade its appearance. Within few hours, Think Boutique came up with totally new design! From outside it looks more like a piece of art than a standard laptop.
Another friend wished to have a piñata for his 40 th birthday (yes, some people never grow up). Who else could do that in Budapest if not Erika?
This little horse looked so cute that in the end, no one had the heart to actually punch it, instead the birthday boy danced with it, the whole night!
I also remember one nasty situation when I renovated my flat. You know this horrible feeling when you try to put a wallpaper and everything starts to fall down, including little pieces of plaster? Yeah that was my case. Without Erika’s hands, most probably I would have had an ugly, yellow wall right in front of the entrance. She not only helped me to paste this wallpaper but also found another great solution, once I discovered that I did not have enough wallpaper to cover the whole wall. She made little, dark blue butterflies, which we pasted over the rest of the wall. Some of the people who visit my apartment think that I made it on purpose, just to decorate my wall, but the real reason was lack of money – you are not going to buy another roll of wallpaper for 16 000 huf, if you need only 20 cm of it? Are you?
Another great item arrived to Erika’s house, once she discovered that she is pretty good in making ceramics. Now she serves cakes and fruits only on the plates which are made by her. That’s what we call self-promotion!
But at the end of the day we can not forget that she is a licensed florist, and flower compositions is her biggest passion. Every Christmas, my house is decorated with beautiful wreath, and bunch of cards designed by Think Boutique, waiting in the queue to be sent out to my family abroad.
