Recently, two new places have been opened in Budapest – both of them look like a dream.
Vicky Barcelona – our Spanish party mecca extended its place! Now you can get amazing cocktails and little Spanish appetizers in Jardin Bar. Although this place is much smaller than Vicky, the interior is massive! Real plants placed all over the wall, stunning tiles and beautiful bar in the middle, with quite fancy chairs, sounds like ideal place to have a cocktail or glass of Spanish wine.
I managed to have a little chat with our party boy Daniel, who is one of the co-owners of those two places.
1. Vicky Barcelona was definitely one of the most successful bars, opened recently in Budapest, what was the impulse to open totally new place, right next to Vicky?
Thank you, well we had a few reason to do so. The signature cocktails success in Vicky Barcelona drove us to give a better setting for our cocktail portfolio and experiment with new ones. A lot of our clients sometimes enjoy having a more relaxed environment to be able to talk but still enjoy our service, food and cocktails. Expecting the summer, we will now have a huge outside terrace with 35m of passage seating area. The doors of the Jardin will fully open towards the passage making it a part of the whole unique Budapest urban traveling experience.
2. What are the specialties of Jardin bar? Any signature drinks or finger food?
The whole concept of Jardin is to offer a wide variety of signature cocktails made, presented and served in unique way. We make our own spice syrups and extract using the finest products combined with a large variety of premium spirits. Of course our bartenders will whip up a cocktail to any clients taste. We currently offer Pintxos (small Spanish tapas) of a wide variety and with each first drink you get a complimentary pintxo. We also offer Spanish cheese & cured meat plates it also possible to order from our regular menu in Vicky Barcelona. Our plan for the future is to create a small finger food menu with the option to order from the Vicky Barcelona menu as well.

3. Are you planning to organize some events in your new place? What can we expect in the near future?
As I mentioned before, in the summer time, we are planning to open the place to the passage using the enlarged terrace area together with the passage bars and seating to create a whole Spanish courtyard experience. That will be accompanied with live performances, Djs and afternoon parties.
4. Jardin design is definitely beyond the words, from where you got inspirations?
I have to give all the credit to Alona Eliasi my designer whom is responsible for Vicky, Jardin and an exciting new project as well.

LOCK Budapest, located at Tölgyfa utca 1-3, is another place which has been recently opened in Budapest. LOCK club with its ultra sophisticated interiors is able to seduce even the most picky clients. Every Friday and Saturday, you can enjoy house music along with refreshing cocktails. This club has quite spacious room on the ground floor, however the overall atmosphere is quite cozy and relaxed. You should pay attention to the details – incredible roof lamps, dazzling tiles and super comfortable armchairs, made this place quite special.
But that’s not all! LOCK offers private rooms, bars and VIP section, once you register to receive yearly membership. I was shown the private room, reserved for LOCK members, and I was shocked for few good moments. Incredible leather couches, outstanding photos on the walls and many sophisticated decorations, give you a feeling that you are rather on the movie set, than in a real place.
Once you open the massive door – you will be granted not only a private room, but also changing room, fancy bathroom plus a private entrance to the club (so you can sneak inside the club, without being noticed by any of the other guests).

There is one more privilege, if you are a member of the LOCK club. You can enjoy free Maserati shuttle service! It must be a really pleasant feeling, to take a ride in such a luxurious car, don’t you think?.
Am I going to see you all on the dance floor soon?
